Thor New Hair

Surprise folks I am not talking about the latest Injustice 2 update! Now it’s time to dive back into the MCU for a film that’s had very little info revealed. It’s the last film before the Infinity War begins and what in the world happened to Thor’s glorious hair and his mighty hammer? I have some theories about that and I’ll give my opinions on some of the other photos revealed. Read further on for more!

Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Thor (Chris Hemsworth)

Man I gotta tell you it’s a bit shocking to not see Thor without his long flowing hair, but I feel that this for story reasons. We know that Bruce Banner will be apart of this movie and they’re are rumors floating around that Ragnarok has Planet Hulk influences in it, don’t surprise that this Thor in a Gladiator arena set by The Grand Master himself (played by Jeff Goldblum). I am curious how they’ll explain why Thor can’t or won’t summon Mjolnir but I’m sure there is a reason for it. I’m honestly shocked that nothing has been shown about Bruce Banner’s involvement with Ragnarok. My theory is that they want to show off Hulk’s gladiator armor in a full fledged trailer, I would expect something around the time Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2 comes out.

Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum)

Let’s talk about Jeff Goldblum for a second, the man who put the words “chaos theory” in the minds of a generation now makes his MCU debut as the Grand Master. Fro those of you who aren’t aware of this pretty obscure Marvel character who first debuted in Avengers #69 (1969) and in the comics he’s not a constant threat like Thanos or any other alien race but he is powerful. Similar to other Marvel films I’m sure his origin will be simplified for casual audiences but I have high hopes that Goldblum will still deliver a memorable performance.

Featured on the cover are two women one of whom I didn’t recognize as Cate Blanchett as Hela Goddess of Death. Now this is only one photo, but I really hope she get’s the giant headdress from the comics, I’ll even allow myself to compromise and settle for a smaller version. I’m really only familiar with Cate Blanchett’s work in Lord of The Rings but she has the look of Hela down to a T. As for Tessa Thompson I’m not to familiar with her as an actress, her current costume is kinda boring. I hope that when the film releases that she’ll get a nice blue cape and a long spear to differentiate herself from Thor and any other Asgardian. Plus I want to see her flying a Pegasus. I’m excited for Thor Ragnarok, let me know in the comments below if you’re excited as well!
